This is a unit used to measure and compare the effects that different greenhouse gases have on the climate, also called CO₂ equivalent or CO₂e. While all greenhouse gases contribute to the greenhouse effect, not all of them do this in the same extent. CO₂e bundles all greenhouse gases in one common unit.
