Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)

explanation

Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) describes the process of taking CO2 from the atmosphere, using this CO2 for other products or industrial processes and store the CO2 left in a long-term storage location. Usually this technology is used in industrial processes that are high emitting and produce streams of CO2, e.g. burning fossil fuels.
