Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) describes the process of taking CO₂ from the atmosphere, using this CO₂ for other products or industrial processes and store the CO₂ left in a long-term storage location. Usually this technology is used in industrial processes that are high emitting and produce streams of CO₂, e.g. burning fossil fuels.
